UT-Chattanooga Does “Outstanding Job” On Graduation And Retention Rates For Black Males

In the 2016-17 academic year,  UT-Chattanooga’s average for black males graduating within six years was 73 percent. The national average is 28.7 percent, according to a 2017 report from the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center. The retention rate for black male students between their freshman and sophomore years is 94 percent, while the national average, based on a 2015 report from the same center, is 54.5 percent. Discover more about UTC’s efforts>
