Students have misaligned expectations

Students are overly optimistic about how long it will take to graduate. The CCCSE survey reported 61 percent of students think they will be able to finish community college in two years or less. That clashes with data from the National Student Clearinghouse that found only 39 percent of first-time-in-college students complete an associate degree or certificate within six years. Read more>
