HERNDON, VA, May 16, 2016 – The National Student Clearinghouse announced today Larry Hatch as their Vice President of Industry and Workforce Services. He is responsible for managing and developing the Clearinghouse’s growing academic credential verification services in furtherance of its mission to continually deliver exceptional value to the education community.
Mr. Hatch is also responsible for driving new business opportunities and cultivating data collaborations that extend the Clearinghouse’s linkages to workforce and economic-related outcomes, which will benefit learners, institutions, states, and the workforce. In addition, he oversees the Clearinghouse’s piloting efforts to expand its international academic authentication and verification services and its domestic digital credential services, which will benefit college students and alumni, schools, and commercial clients.
“Larry brings nearly 30 years of general management and business development experience in nonprofits, marketing services, e-commerce, technology, financial services, telecommunications, and manufacturing,” said Rick Torres, President and CEO of the Clearinghouse. “I have known Larry for close to 18 years, having first worked with him at Capital One. His experience and talent in data analytics and creating new opportunities for nonprofits and public and private businesses will bring a new perspective and trajectory to the Clearinghouse’s goals and strategies to create collaborations benefiting our education, industry, and workforce communities.”
Prior to the Clearinghouse, Mr. Hatch was executive vice president of business development for MQ&C Digital, a digital marketing firm that delivers breakthrough business performance through optimized marketing campaigns and data analytics. He has led major change initiatives for more than two decades benefiting nonprofits, universities, and businesses, including at George Mason University; University California, Davis; Ronald McDonald House; multiple equity-backed startups and large public companies, including Frito-Lay and Capital One.
Larry holds a Bachelor’s of Science in mechanical engineering from Clarkson University.
