High expectations drive success at IDEA Public Schools

When we first started IDEA, some told us that we were asking too much of our students since we are a charter school, and IDEA cannot “cherry-pick” our student enrollees. We draw from the communities where we are located, many of which are like the neighborhood I grew up in. According to the National Student Clearinghouse, last year 95 percent of IDEA students went straight on to college from high school, many to schools in Texas, but some to Ivy League and other nationally ranked schools. Read more>
